Members of the League from Acton, Boxborough, Hudson, Littleton, Maynard, and Stow have been busy through the summer and fall with lots of activities aimed at educating and encouraging voters to be active participants in our democracy.
We started out the summer planning a candidate forum for the 14th Middlesex District State Representative primary election. The forum was jointly run by the Acton Area League, the Concord-Carlisle League, and the Chelmsford League and provided a great opportunity for voters to get to know the candidates in advance of the primary in September.
In October, the Acton Area League collaborated once again with Concord-Carlisle on a candidate forum for the 14th Middlesex District general election.A live audience at Concord's Harvey Wheeler Community Center asked questions of candidates Simon Cataldo and Rod Cleaves.
